I love my morning green juice. I like to vary the ingredients and incorporate local, seasonal produce. Currently, my favorite luscious green juice recipe is:
1 cup of baby spinach leaves
1/2 cup of kale
1 handful of parsley
1/2 a cucumber
3 celery sticks
1/2 a lemon
1/4″ slice of ginger
1 green apple
Wash and prepare the ingredients for juicing. Remove the juice of 1/2 a lemon separately. Juice all the other ingredients in your juicer. Combine the lemon juice with the rest of the juice. This recipe makes one serving. The luscious green juice is best consumed immediately. It can be stored in the fridge and consumed within 24 hours.
Green juices are a wonderful way of getting many health benefits in an efficient way. They are a convenient way of getting multiple portions of fruits and vegetables. Juicing may encourage you to try a wider variety of vegetables into your diet. They help to increase your energy levels because the nutrients are absorbed easily into the bloodstream when the pulp is removed. Your immunity is boosted with the array of enzymes, phytonutrients, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals in the green juices. Green vegetables help to alkalize your body and their chlorophyll detoxifies the blood. Cruciferous vegetables can be used in juicing, with their anti-cancer properties. You could also benefit from weight loss by consuming vegetable green juice regularly.
To a vibrant you!
